Come Spend the Day at Silver Falls on State Parks Day!
We’ve got a great race lined up at the most beautiful State Park in Oregon! And, it’s State Parks Day so parking is free and so is camping on June 7th.
Come and spend the day with friends running on trails in spectacular scenery. While you’re here tour Oregon’s largest State Park to see the magnificent water falls and Visitor’s Center at the South Falls Lodge.
Then, visit the Gateway to the Falls and Oregon’s Garden City, Silverton. Stroll through the historic downtown and check-out the great shops, restaurants, and other services. It’s a town like no other!
:: DIRECTIONS TO START ::
Directions to Silverton/Silver Falls: From Portland go south on I-5 to Woodburn Exit #271 then follow the signs on Hwy 214 to Silverton. From Salem go east on Silverton Rd, Hwy 213. Then from Silverton go out South Water Street, Hwy 214, for 15 miles to the South Falls Day-use area (on the right). We’re in shelter D between the parking lot and Silver Creek. Follow the signs after entering the park.

Registration is FREE for all participants. Registration is required for all youth participants.

:: COURSE DESCRIPTION :: Click Here for the 5k Course Map. The 5k race has hills on a combination of grass, gravel, and pavement with ruts and rocks. It’ll be a vigorous run. The 1500m Youth run, ages 10-14, will also be on trails.
:: AWARDS :: Champion’s Trophies for the fastest female/male. Trophies for first female/male Masters and for 1st place in each of the 5 Year Age Groups. Ribbons for 2nd/3rd place in each age group. (Only one award per person.) Each Youth runner will receive a ribbon.
