ARBOR DAY FUN RUN/WALK
10K and 5K Run and Walk
April 21, 2007
All events begin at 9:00AM
The event will be held at: Minto Brown Island Park, Salem, Oregon
The Start and Finish will be at Parking Lot 3 at 2200 Minto Island Road.
:: DIRECTIONS :: Coming from I-5 North or I-5 South, take the Mission
Street exit and head west toward downtown Salem. Continue on Mission St. until it ends at Commercial St.
Take a left onto Commercial St., drive for four blocks and turn right onto Owens St. which is the next light.
Owens soon turns into River Road and the park entrance is one mile down the road at the first traffic signal. Proceed into the park 1 mile to Parking lot 3. Online Map to Minto Brown Island Park

$15.00 per person for either event
Register after April 17 through Race Day
$20.00 per person for either event

:: COURSE ::
The course will be on paved and bark chip paths through Minto Brown Park. The course offers scenic views of the Willamette River and Wildlife Refuge. The 10k course map is now posted!

:: AWARDS ::
Awards will be given to the overall Male and Female finishers in both the 5k and 10k event. Age group ribbons will be given to the top finisher in the following age groups:
14-under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29
30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49
50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69
70-74, 75-79, 80-over
All registered participants will receive a tree seedling in honor of Arbor Day.
The first 140 registered participants will also receive custom athletic (running) socks
with the event logo embroidered on them. (a $7.00 value).
Refreshments will be served.
